The A1 is followed by the A2 motorway between Lisbon and the Algarve, which will become 25 cents more expensive for class 1 vehicles.
Prices of 22 percent of all tolls in place on roads and infrastructures are to be adjusted to consumer use in the New Year.
I think that the road tolls should be opitmized with respect to the income they generate. If drivers avoid the motorways and cause significant additional traffic on roads that are not really suitable then this, then tolls should be reduced. A good example for the latter is the A16 between the end of IC 19 and Estorial/Cascais Shopping. It costs EUR 1,00 for a very short distance and many drivers leave the A16 for a few Kilometers. That doesn't make sense at all.
