Without detailing just how the figure was calculated, Meirinho said that the compulsory introduction of additive free petrol at all stations had driven a decrease in the price differential between additive and non-additive fuels that since April had shrunk from an average of €0.07 to €0.03.


ENMC President Paulo Carmona also told the same conference that “the consumer had benefitted substantially from the commercial aggressiveness and the increase in supply diversity."
