According to Portuguese rail company CP, that figure is up 7.2 percent on numbers from July 2014.


The summer months have reportedly driven demand for the high-speed train, which connects the cities of Braga, Porto, Aveiro, Coimbra, Lisbon and Faro, among others, and saw the company working to the maximum of its capacities.


CP says that due to the “consistent and continuous” rise in demand the company is looking for ways to boost its fleet next year.
