“Some 1,159 were for treatments and stitches, 244 for weeverfish and insect stings, 394 to measure blood pressure, 111 to give injections and 126 for glycaemia tests.
The health administration also said that 68% of the people were not from the Algarve – 52% were from other parts of Portugal and 16% were foreigners.
