The AHETA statement also said that turnover had risen by 7.5% on last year with the Portimão/Praia da Rocha region registering the highest occupancy rate of 93.7% while “the key tourism zone of Albufeira” achieved an 86.3% rate.


Four star hotels and apartment complexes turned in the best performance by classification reaching 88.9%, the AHETA statement continued.


Without specifying any numbers or percentage rises, the statement pointed to rises across the main source markets of Germany, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands.
