The route, which takes visitors around participating establishments in several Algarve locations to sample mini-sized house specialities, has proved hugely popular since its launch and each year has gone from strength to strength.
For the first time since its introduction six years ago, the event is to have a leg in Lagos and Aljezur, in which 58 different establishments will be taking part.
It starts in May and this year takes place in stages, starting in Lagos and Aljezur from 1 to 29 May, passing through Lagoa, Silves and Monchique from June, and ending in Portimão in September.
The overall concept is to buy a passport – a booklet featuring all of the participating cafés, bars and restaurants in the different areas and their offerings – and to visit as many of them as possible.
Each tapas dish costs €3 including a drink, while sweets or desserts with a liqueur cost €2 each.
The passport can be purchased from any of the participating establishments and its €1 cost goes to charity, to support seven social projects promoted by local institutions.
