Appeal for all out for the general strike

by TPN/ Lusa, in News · 26-06-2013 08:41:00 · 1 Comments

A large scale turnout for Thursday’s general strike was forecast by the CGTP trade union federation Secretary General Arménio Carlos in a meeting with Loures Municipal Council workers on Tuesday.

Appeal for all out for the general strike

“This struggle is still more important than the previous because the government will end up still more frail than it already is,” said Carlos in the run up to the 10th ever general strike called by the CGTP and coming seven months on from the last such event.

“The government continues to harm workers in both local and central government. They forget that if were not for such workers, these services would not happen,” the secretary general affirmed before receiving the full commitment from Loures Municipal Council staff that they would be joining the strike.

Good idea, let's all strike, bring the country to it's knees. cripple this already fragile country, hold it's people to ransom, kill the economy, then when no other country wants to do business with Portugal because of it's unpredictability and it's work ethics and work culture, just blame it on the Spaniards or the men from mars, let's all go for a coffee now, (because) we don't have a job and it's all we can afford... STRIKE (you're out)
