"Since my first day in office, I have made climate change a priority. We have to make sure that the Paris Agreement will be implemented in full", Ban Ki-moon said at a press conference at the Climate Conference (COP 22), in Marrakesh.

Speaking just over a month before his term of office ends, Ban Ki-moon is in Marrakesh to participate in his last COP and he appealed that every country should ratify the Paris Agreement as soon as possible.

The 22nd Climate Change Conference will continue in Marrakesh until 18 November.

Today, heads of state and government and ministers will discuss in the plenary and speeches are expected from the Portuguese prime minister, António Costa, and his São Tome counterpart, Patrice Trovoada.
