Bosses accept minimum wage increase

in News · 23-11-2017 14:39:00 · 0 Comments

Bosses have accepted an increase in the national minimum wage of five percent, but have asked for tax breaks in return.

The government, unions and companies are set to gather around the negotiating table later this week to discuss a raise for lowest earners.
Employers have said they are willing to push wages up to 580 euros a month in exchange for a cut in taxes.
The CGTP union, which is the country’s largest, has however said they will only be satisfied with a raise that sees the minimum salary set at 600 euros a month.
