Farense fans will be pleased to see the arrival of centre-forward Rambé on loan from SC Braga. Olhanense were more than busy on the final day bringing in seven players including 33 year-old former Benfica and Portugal goalkeeper José Moreira from Omonia Nicosia (Cyprus).

Midfieldier Lorenzo Galassi, who played for Olhanense in the second half of last season on loan from Novara (Italy) is back in Olhão.

Last season he made eighteen appearances and found the back of the net on four occasions. Brazilian midfielder Lucas Morelatto arrived on loan from Primeira Liga outfit Estoril whilst two 22 year-old strikers have been signed on loan from Italian clubs - Ghanaian Said Ahmed Said from Genoa and Andrea Magrassi from Sampdoria.

In the 2nd Division, SC Farense followed up a 1-1 home draw against Feirense with a 2-1 away win at Mafra with a brace of goals from De Leonço. Portimonense drew 1-1 at Sporting Lisbon ‘B’ thanks to Mamadu’s first-half strike.

Olhanense inflicted a first defeat on league leaders Atlético. Tiago Duque netted the only goal of the game at the José Arcanjo Stadium after just ten minutes. Four days later and the score line was reversed as the Olhão based club lost 1-0 at V.Guimarães ’B’. The home side was reduced to 10-men with fifteen minutes remaining when substitute Ká picked up two yellow cards after only being on the pitch for six minutes!
