A study into the social and economic impact of the drink-maker on Portugal, produced by consultant Steward Redqueen, who analysed the manufacturer’s impact on the country’s economy in terms of jobs and revenues where it was consumed, among other variables, found that “through the production and distribution of its drinks, Coca-Cola contributed towards generating economic activity in its value chain.”
The company employs 420 workers and generates about 5,140 indirect work places, estimating a total impact of around 5,560 jobs.
