EDP Renováveis Brasil is a unit of Energias de Portugal's Brazilian arm, EDP Brasil.
The operation, which was outlined late last year, was announced on Monday in a statement through Portugal's securities markets authority, the CMVM.
The deal "is subject to regulatory approval and should take place by the end of 2015," the statement said. After it is complete, it added, EDP Renováveis will own all the Brazilian unit's shares.
