The activities are part of the 8th Birdwatching and Nature Activities Festival, to be held between 4 and 8 October.
The initiative is devised by Vila do Bispo council in collaboration with the Portuguese Bird Watching Society (SPEA) and association, Almargem.
The festival is staged in October as it is at that point of the year that migrating birds use Sagres as a “meeting point.”
Over five days, a series of activities from morning till night are put on throughout Vila do Bispo, with most of them being held in Sagres.
According to SPEA, the programme is diverse but centres on birdwatching trips, on land and at sea.
The programme also features walks and boat trips, and is an opportunity for nature-lovers to talk about and share their views and experiences, as well as to relax and enjoy Sagres’ famous sunsets.
To enrol on the activities, visit the Vila do Bispo council website (www.cm-viladobispo.pt) and sign up.
