According to the INE’s provisional data for international trade in 2017, exports of goods totalled €55.029 billion and imports of goods totalled €69,489 million.
The commercial trade of goods saw a negative balance of €14,460 million, representing a rise in the deficit of €3,075 million compared to the previous year.
Excluding fuels and lubricants, exports rose 8.9 percent and imports grew by 11.4 percent. The deficit rose by €2.125 billion.
