A goalless draw on Saturday night between their nearest rivals Sporting and Benfica, meant the Porto club had an assailable four-point lead, irrespective of their result the next day against neighbours Feirense.

But despite the celebrations of the previous night, FC Porto still produced a performance worthy of champions, beating Feirense 2-1.
