Despite tough opposition from experienced coaches, football experts from more 56 countries worldwide had no hesitation in awarding Santos a massive 199 points well ahead of Swedish runner-up and Iceland manager Lars Lagerbeck on 71 and German’s Joachim Löw taking third place.
Besides his time since 2014 as Portugal coach, Santos has also managed Greece, FC Porto, Benfica and Sporting.
