This is according to the Independent Commission on Police Complaints (IPCC). Known to close friends as Edson, the 25-year-old died on June 21 at Newham Hospital after several days in hospital.
The family of the Portuguese, who has been resident in the United Kingdom since 1996, claims that the boy was a victim of violence by agents who tried to arrest him on 15 June during a police operation.
