According to new figures, just under 5,500 people died in traffic accidents on the country’s roads between 2010 and September 2017.
The monetary cost of these accidents has also come at a price, with an estimate impact of 15 billion euros on the Portuguese economy.
Over this period, there were also 16,000 serious injuries and a further 300,000 slight injuries. Despite these numbers, Portugal has seen a reduction of almost 40 percent in road deaths since 2010.
Too fast, Too close, overtaking in idiotic places, this is what i see in traffic daily. One wonders what they teach out in drivning schools!
30 kph should be the standard here at least in urban environments.

Agree with above ,also a lack of indicator use and still people don't know how to approach a round about or leave one , still see a lot of drivers on there phone whilst driving .this causes accidents .
