GNR police car catches fire on Lisbon-Algarve motorway

A GNR police vehicle caught on fire on the A2 motorway last night and caused the north-bound side of the stretch between Marateca and Palmela to be closed off for around 45 minutes.

No one was injured in the incident, which happened late last night.

Fire-fighters, police and road authorities were despatched to the spot and the fire was extinguished at around half past midnight.
