Portuguese hacker Rui Pinto, who illegally accessed the emails of football club Benfica, has been detained in Hungary, a police source told Lusa News Agency.

The police said a statement that the 30-year-old citizen, who was subject of a European arrest warrant, had been detained.

 

This detention, according to the document, was carried out as part of an investigation carried out by the public prosecutor's offive.

 

According to the police authorities, the crimes involve qualified extortion, illegal access, offence and breach of a secrecy duty.

 

The police said in a statement that it was accompanying the implementation of the arrest and the subsequent steps under a European Investigation Order.
