The minister said he believed the outbreak was due to a technical failure.

The day the fifth victim of the outbreak died in the São Francisco Xavier Hospital in Lisbon, Mr Campos Fernandes said that the hospital, the companies responsible for surveillance and the Lisbon and Tagus Valley Regional Health Administration must also apology to the victims.

The Legionnaire's outbreak started on 3 November, infected 48 people and killed five.

The Minister added that the government is going to do everything at its reach to find the source of the disease.
