After registering in the 10th worst place in July, the Portuguese capital’s airport registered a punctuality rate of 40.3 percent on 10,017 flights in August, ranking it in the 21st worst position (1,174th place out of 1,194 airports).
The flight cancellation rate at Lisbon airport last month was 1.1 percent.
Porto airport fared slightly better, with a 52.8 percent of 4,131 flights being on-time, while at Faro airport, 65.6 percent of 3,356 flights were on time.
Better still was Ponta Delgada airport, with a punctuality rate of 62.8 percent of 1,115 flights, and in Madeira, Funchal’s infrastructure remained at 947, with 65.3% of departures without
delays and 1,006 flights during August.
Topping the table with the best time-keeping was the German airport of Saarbrueken, where 97.5 percent of 323 flights left on-time, while at the opposite end of the table, in last place (1,194th), was Tunisia’s main international airport Tunis, with 13.7 percent of 2,539 flights taking off on schedule.
