The Portuguese capital was, according to Jetcost, the most sought after city by French, British, German, Italian, Dutch and Spanish travellers.
The northern city of Porto and the southern city of Faro also scored high up on the ranking.
Madeira was the among the top choices for islands, with the Azores coming in in fifth place.
