TAP’s new boss said he believed deeply in transparent, open dialogue, adding that all strikes and all announced strikes are resolved one way or another.
After seeing his name approved as CEO of the company at the shareholder general assembly on Wednesday, he said he was very motivated and felt great responsibility to contribute towards this company that has all it needs to be one of the best in Europe.
Among the most urgent challenges, he said, was the need to “improve customer service”, recalling the “severe restrictions” at Lisbon airport that harm punctuality.
“We need to improve punctuality. Our punctuality is average. TAP needs to be one of the most punctual airlines in the world”,
he said.
