No need for new addresses on drivers’ licenses

Another new introduction for 2017 is that from January drivers who move house will no longer have to change the address on their driver’s licence.

Addresses on citizens’ cards will be taken into account.

This is one of several measures introduced by the Institute for Mobility and Transport to simplify drivers’ documentation and the processes.

From 2 January drivers can also renew or replace drivers’ licences online, and from April medical assessments will be emailed from the Ministry of Health directly to the Institute.
