Along with getting creative with fancy dress, Primary School and Pre-School pupils of Nobel International School Algarve created collages of wildanimals to share in a special assembly, researched wild animals, donated wild animal themed biscuits and some even learnt to dance like penguins! The whole school also had a non-uniform day, and pupils in the school's Lagos site also dressed up as wild animals.

Head of Primary Penelope Best said: “Our students were really excited to be involved with such an inspiring event and it was a delight to see our parents, children and staff throw themselves into it. Everyone can make a difference in protecting our incredible wildlife and young people have a key role to play. Of course there’s a serious message here, and we are an Eco-School, but our pupils had lots of fun as they helped raise awareness and funds for WWF’s crucial work.”

Karen Gates, WWF-UK spokesperson, said: “We hope that Nobel International School Algarve’s participation will inspire other international schools to follow suit and support the campaign in the future. We all know children love animals - and Wear it Wild is a great way for them to learn about their favourite species and go wild to show their passion for the cause.”

As well as increasing awareness, all money raised will help support WWF’s work to tackle growing threats to the natural world and our precious wildlife.
