I don't understand why in Europe (Portugal) we celebrate carnival in the middle of winter? I know that it is to be in conjunction with the original one in Latin America, but they are in the southern hemisphere, which is summer for them. The only country in Europe that seems to get it right its England with the Notting hill being hold in the European summer. We should move carnival in Portugal to one of the summer months in order to get a better celebration and enjoyment.
