In the euro area, the job vacancy rate rose to 2.1% from April to June compared to the 1.9% rate registered in the same quarter of last year but remaining steady compared to the first quarter.

In the EU, the 2.2% rate registered from April to June represents a progression compared to the 2.0% of year-on-year job vacancies, the same level as in the first three months of the year.

The highest job vacancy rates were registered in the Czech Republic (5.4%), Belgium (3.5%), Netherlands (3.1%) and Germany (2.9%), while the lowest was seen in Greece (0.7%), Bulgaria, Spain and Portugal (0.9% each).
