The lowest job vacancy rates in the EU in the period were recorded in Portugal (0.7 percent), Greece (0.8 percent - figures only available for the first quarter), in Spain and Poland (0.8 percent each) and in Bulgaria and Ireland (0.9 percent each).
The highest job vacancy rates were seen in the Czech Republic (2.9 percent), Belgium (2.8 percent), the United Kingdom (2.5 percent), Germany (2.4 percent) and Sweden (2.3 percent).
Average job vacancies between April and June in the Euro Zone rose by 0.2 percentage points year on year to 1.7 percent, according to Eurostat.
