He noted that the attack in London took place “precisely a year after the dramatic attack in Brussels and shows well that the terrorist threat is a global threat.” He called for “greater police cooperation, greater judicial cooperation and greater exchange of information” between European countries, as well as “work to prevent radicalisation”.
In related news, a Portuguese national was among those injured in the London terror attacks.
According to the State Secretary for Portuguese Communities, a 26-year old national suffered deep cuts to his knee and hand, but was last night discharged from hospital.
The 26-year old man, who lives in London, is believed to be the only Portuguese citizen who was a victim in the attack at Westminster.
