Portugal ranks highly for children

Portugal has received some positive indications from the latest UNICEF report on children in the world’s wealthiest countries.

While Portugal ranked 18th overall on the list which consists of 41 nations, the country climbed to the top of the rankings when assessing the well-being of children and the quality of health. Portugal also enjoys strong performances when assessing infant mortality rates and depression levels among teenagers, but fares poorly in terms of alcohol consumption, obesity and teenage pregnancies.
