Portugal Real Estate buoyant

The real-estate market in Portugal saw an increase in turnover and sales prices in 2017 and banks were the main funders for real-estate purchases for investment.

According to the Portuguese Real Estate Investment Survey by Deloitte, the increase in volume and prices was mainly seen in the residential, commercial/services and hotel sectors. The study further states that most of the capital was European.

I've purchased two flats in Algarve and spoke with over a dozen agents depending on who owns the selling rights to properties. Great to see the banks open their wallets. Interesting to see most realtors are foreigners. Half had reminded me of why they join real estate, just for the quick and easy sale.

They’d sell more if they had product and locality knowledge and oh yes if they could sell!!! Just sitting back and taking 5% is bordering on the criminal

They probably would have sold more if real estate agents in Portugal actually returned phone calls and responded to emails. Appalling work ethic in the majority of cases
