In a statement, the Irish company - which carries 131 million passengers a year on about 2,000 daily flights connecting more than 200 destinations in 33 countries - said the new route will be available for bookings this month.

With its fleet of 430 Boeing 737s, Ryanair is in the process of ordering an additional 240 Boeing 737 which will allow it to increase its annual volume and passengers to 200 million by 2024.
