The calendar was set on Tuesday at a conference of parliamentary leaders at the Assembly of the Republic in Lisbon.

Initial information on the budget will be communicated by the Government on 11 October, in the usual meeting with parties with parliamentary representation - PAN, PEV, PCP, BE, CDS, PSD and PS.

The presentation of the document by the Minister of Finance, Mário Centeno, is scheduled for 24 October, at the Budget and Finance Committee.

The next day Labour Minister, Vieira da Silva, is due to present the budget at the same committee.

After the general vote, with a debate scheduled for 2 and 3 November, the sectoral discussion, ministry by ministry, will be discussed by the respective committees.

The overall final vote, the last parliamentary act on the State Budget, before being sent to the President of the Republic, is scheduled for 28 November.

Before the presentation of the budget, the PS Government will have to negotiate with the parties that support it in the parliament - PEV, BE and PCP.
