Summer’s here to stay

in News · 03-08-2017 13:57:00 · 0 Comments

Thermometers are forecast to dip slightly over the weekend and at the start of next week in central and northern Portugal, but will rise again as the coming week progresses. The south is set to stay hot, hot, hot.

Lisbon: Temperatures will waver at around the 30 degrees mark for the weekend in Lisbon, before dipping a few degrees on Monday and Tuesday, then steadily climbing again to the mid-30’s by Friday. Besides a few scattered clouds on the odd day, the capital will be sunny and clear.
The South: Readings in the Algarve won’t vary much over the weekend and coming week. After a particularly hot Friday, when temperatures are forecast to peak at close to 40 degrees Celsius, the rest of the coming week will see the mercury stay firmly at around 34 degrees Celsius.
The North: Porto will follow Lisbon’s lead, with a warm, albeit cloudy weekend, at around 28 degrees Celsius, before temperatures cool off by a few degrees on Monday and Tuesday, and steadily rise again towards the 30 degrees mark by the end of next week.
