Terrorists may attack as other countries become harder

The growing number of tourists and increased security in neighbouring countries make Portugal a convenient place for terrorist attacks and for the infiltration of operations, Israeli counterterrorism expert Boaz Ganor said at a conference at the University of Lisbon’s School of Social and Political Sciences.

Terrorists may attack as other countries become harder

Heightened security in countries such as Belgium, Germany and Holland has made it more difficult for terrorists to commit attacks there, making Portugal a convenient country to organise crime and infiltrate terrorists, especially with the increase in tourism, Boaz added.

As for preparations to deal with an eventual attack, Portugal is not an easy target, he said, but there were certain things that could be done to prevent one.

He also stated there could never be enough security, and that more was needed every time.

We go to Albufeira for more than 3 months a year, and we feel very safe in Portugal.
Please keep it that way, this is our second home.

See you guys in January. Hope it's safe by then.

Keep up the good work, because we plan to spend more time next trip
