Two tons of donated goods collected in Faro for fire victims

Two tons of second-hand donated goods have been collected in Faro for the victims of the recent wild fires in northern and central Portugal.

The donated items were distributed this week in Tábua, Arganil, and Paradela da Cortiça. Launched by a group of youngsters with the support of Faro council, the ten-day campaign gathered a ton of clothes, 800 kilos of foodstuff, 300 kilos of which was for animals, various types of medication, 108 mattresses, 50 televisions, and a range of white goods and furniture.
