IPMA also forecast an increase in temperatures in the coming days, particularly the maximum temperatures, with the mercury above average for the time of year.

The Institute said maximum temperatures should vary between 24/25°C in most of the country, though it could reach 27/28°C in some places.

Anyone in regions with ‘very high’ or ‘high’ UV radiation should wear sunglasses with a UV filter, hat, long sleeves and sun cream and children are advised to stay out of the direct sun.
