The second stage of the Volta will see riders cycle from Lagoa to Foía in the Monchique.
The 198 kilometre stage will take participants to an altitude of 900 metres or just under 3,000 feet as they look to wrestle the yellow jersey off Colombia’s Fernando Gaviria, who won yesterday’s opening stage.
The Volta ao Algarve ends this Sunday in Loulé.
