The government's proposal is to update minimum salaries for civil servants from €580 to €635.07 in 2019. In the last version of the proposal sent to unions on December 21, there is no mention of a rule announced by the Federation of Trade Unions of Public Administration (FESAP) that intended to prevent employees with a salary increase of €28 to progress in their career. The salary increase in 2019 is expected to cover around 70,000 civil servants and could cost €50 million.
