Among the monuments taking part in national monument day are the Milreu Roman Ruins in Estoi near Faro, the Alcalar Megalithic Monuments in Portimão and Sagres Fortress.
Despite National Monument day falling tomorrow, the monuments will also be opening for free on Friday and Saturday.
