In June, the average price of second-hand cars was around 23,750 euros, which represents an increase of 8% compared to the same month last year, according to data from the Associação do Comércio Automóvel de Portugal (ACAP).

“This evolution represents an increase of around 8% in the price compared to June 2022, when the average value was fixed at 21,900 euros. Compared to 2021 (19,000 euros), the average price increased by 25%”, highlights Standvirtual in a statement.

According to the same barometer, in June, 11.2% more imported used passenger cars were registered compared to the same period last year, for a total of around 9,000 vehicles. If the comparison is made with the same period of 2019, this is an increase of 62.3%.

"Imports continue to break records in June, compared to previous years, which also contributes to the increase in supply, which grows 17.5% compared to the same period", adds Standvirtual, in a statement. However, demand fell by 5%, resulting in negative market dynamics of around 23%”.
