On Tuesday morning precipitation is forecast in the north and center of the country, a scenario that is to be repeated throughout the day of Wednesday, especially in the Minho and on the Douro coast. The rain isn’t however expected to reach the south, where temperatures can go up to 30 degrees celsius.
With no precipitation, the forecast for Thursday is for strong winds, especially on the coastal strip. The meteorologist warns of strong gusts on the west coast and predicts a drop in maximum and minimum temperatures.
On Friday, the wind decreases and the temperature rises. Saturday and Sunday will be days with higher temperatures, says Patrícia Marques, with Sunday being “the hottest day”.
During the week of World Youth Day, both Lisbon and Fátima follow the general pattern of the country traced by the meteorologist. The sky will be cloudy every morning in the capital, where "it is not expected to reach 30 degrees Celsius until Friday". In Fátima, as you can read on the IPMA website, temperatures should vary between 17 and 35 degrees.
From Sunday, which is forecast to be the hottest day of the week, a heat warning is being issued. Lisbon and Fátima are to register temperatures of 35 degrees.
Nights will be “cool”, with temperatures that do not exceed 14 degrees Celsius, but from Sunday onwards there will also be a rise in temperature.
Are any of the actual temperatures measured (not the ones predicted) out of the normal. I cannot recognize that, but maybe you can.

Heat wave? What heat wave? It has been comparitively cool where we are in central Portugal. No heat wave here. I agree, just more scaremongering about climate change.
