At the end of this year's event, they were awarded first place for their rendition of Jez Butterworth's 'The Ferryman'.

The Emma Jane Nulty-directed Dalkey Players' performance of Arthur Millar's "The Crucible" took second place.

Third place went to the first-time qualifiers Ballycogley Players, under the direction of Pat Whelan, who played the Ray Cooney farce “Out of Order.”

Ballyduff Drama Group, no strangers to Athlone, last took home the All-Ireland trophy in 2022. Additionally, Ger Canning, their director, was awarded Best Director.

Furthermore, Quinn Carney's actor John Stack took home the best actor prize, while Mary Colbert was named the finest actress in a supporting role.

Donie O'Sullivan got the prize for best stage setup, and Noel Hayes was named the winner of the best stage management category.

Ballyduff Drama Group has been playing on the 3 Act tour for more than 40 years. Their show, “Rabbit Hole,” won the All-Ireland title twice, in 2004 and 2022.

Their presentation of “The Welkin” earned them second place the previous year.

Regarding the adage “never work with children or animals!” Ballyduff tossed caution to the wind when putting on “The Ferryman.”

During their presentation, a live goose and a live rabbit made appearances, along with a lively and captivating infant boy from the area named Páidí.
