The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) has raised the number of districts under a yellow weather warning from two to seven today due to the forecast of showers, sometimes heavy, which may be accompanied by thunder and occasionally hail.

The IPMA had previously placed the districts of Guarda and Viseu under a yellow warning, between 12pm and 6pm today.
In a new statement, IPMA has also placed the districts of Bragança, Porto, Vila Real, Viana do Castelo and Braga under yellow warning until 6pm today.
Minimum temperatures will range between 6 degrees Celsius (in Bragança) and 14 (in Aveiro) and maximum temperatures between 14 (in Guarda) and 21 (in Braga and Santarém).
