This initiative will bring together around 20 local producers and more than 70 wines to taste, with the aim of reinforcing the reputation of the Coimbra region as an excellent wine and gastronomy destination, positioning Bairrada on the wine tourism map.

The event has the collaboration of the Cantanhede municipality in partnership with the Rota da Bairrada Association, the Bairrada Wine Commission, the Intermunicipal Community (CIM) of the Coimbra Region and Turismo do Centro de Portugal.

Another objective of this event, which also promotes local gastronomic products, is to boost tourism in Cantanhede, fostering sustainable economic development and strengthening the connection between producers, restaurants and local entities.

“The aim is to reinforce the wine identity of the region and boost tourism and the local economy”, explained the municipality of Cantanhede, highlighting that this initiative stands out “for the fusion between wine tradition and innovation, creating a meeting point for producers, connoisseurs and experts in the sector”.

Entry is free and the programme includes masterclasses led by Luís Lopes and cultural entertainment by DJ Pedro Moniz and the band Royal Sax.

The tasting kit is available for eight euros and includes a glass, a coaster, and a small guide.
