The move marks the beginning of a new phase for the school, including curriculum enhancements, new international mobility opportunities and the appointment of Kate Sommerville as Head of School, according to a statement.

EITV becomes the second school in Portugal within the Forfar Education portfolio, following the acquisition of Colégio do Vale in 2024. With this integration, EITV becomes part of a global network of educational institutions.

To lead this new chapter, Kate Sommerville took up her post as Head over the summer. With more than 20 years’ experience in international education across Europe and Asia, Sommerville has implemented student-centred pedagogical projects in a variety of school contexts.
