Algarve launches new Walking Path Guide

The Algarve Tourism Board has launched a new Walking Guide to promote the Algarve.

The guide contains 244 pages of long and short hikes throughout the Algarve, summarised into 47 routes, from seaside walks to mountain treks.

Turismo do Algarve said the aim is to promote “rich natural and built heritage of the Algarve and its landscape diversity”.

The guide can be downloaded for free on the visitalgarve.pt website.

It would be nice if someone from the local camara bothered to walk the route sometime..the one near us is littered with building rubbish and toilet paper. Not the impression for tourists surely ?

How much more useful this article would be if it contained some information as to where this guide could be obtained. A download link, if it is freely downloadable, or some information about the places where it could be picked up or purchased.

I went on the visitalgarve site, couldn't find any 244-page document but I did find 'Guide to Walking Trails in The Algarve'

It has 95 double pages and the total comes to 186 pages. It seems very good and well produced. We shall be on a recce very soon!
