Known as V-Talks, the monthly series of talks aims to inspire, educate and share points of view and is sponsored by Vilamoura World, the new owners of Vilamoura.
The first event, which will be held at the Vilamoura Museum, takes place next Thursday evening (21 January) at 7pm.
V-Talks are open to the public and provide the platform for speakers to address diverse topics ranging from culture, leisure, sport, history and personal improvement.
The event will have a restricted audience of about 30 people and will be moderated by Brendan de Beer of The Portugal News and is expected to last around 30 minutes.
Visitors will also be invited to put forward their own questions on the night.
Speaking to The Portugal News earlier this week in Vilamoura, Ricardo said he preferred not to receive any questions in advance “in order to speak from the heart”.
According to a spokesperson for Vilamoura World, “Ricardo was chosen because of his success here in Portugal, which expanded internationally through the tournament, but also playing for Leicester City in the UK.”
Ricardo currently lives in Vilamoura and is a Vilamoura World ambassador.
As seats are limited, interested parties are encouraged to send an email to eventos@vilamouraworld.com as soon as possible to secure a place at the event.
