Over one hundred people took part in the protest, which also saw two main roads being blocked off. One person was injured during clashes with GNR officers. The pig farmers staged protests in various locations yesterday afternoon and evening against the importing of pork to use in national products, as well as other issues affecting the sector, and demanded the resignation of Portugal’s Minster for Agriculture, Capoulas Santos.
